Gladbach sports director Roland Virkus criticizes Matthias Ginter: You don't do that
Borussia Mönchengladbach's Roland Virkus has criticized Matthias Ginter for his statements about the motives to leave the association. The national player returns to SC Freiburg free of charge in summer.
"I learned in life, never bad about other people and never bad about the old employer. You don't do that. And I Matze said that too," said Virkus at a press conference on Thursday.
Ginter had "thought" sharp criticism of the foals in the Gladbach fan podcast. Last summer he found out that the club wanted to sell him. "Something has broken," said Ginter and also reported on a subsequent "alibi offer" because a sale had not come about.
After numerous speculations about the future of the central defender, Freiburg had confirmed the return campaign last week. Ginter is supposed to replace Nico Schlotterbeck, who changes to BVB.
It is still open whether Ginter is used again for Borussia. "I don't like to talk about the line -up. Not even before the last match day," said coach Adi Hütter with a view to the encounter against TSG Hoffenheim. Ginter "had five great years here" and "decided in winter to leave this great club," said the Gladbach coach.

Virkus only started the post of the sports director in February. When there was a break between the club and the ginter, his predecessor Max Eberl was still in a leading role. In winter he finally announced his farewell to Gladbach.
